DESIGN

OCEAN-INSPIRED

The BYD SEAL U is an eco-friendly PHEV SUV that combines ocean-inspired styling with a futuristic design. Its signature double U-shaped headlights improve visibility, while the sleek rear features a continuous taillight in a striking water-drop matrix pattern. Completing the look, the 19-inch aerodynamic wheels add a sporty edge while reducing drag, enhancing both efficiency and driving refinement.

INTERIOR

A FUTURE-FIRST INTERIOR

The BYD SEAL U’s interior boasts a futuristic design, featuring a floating centre console and a large rotatable touchscreen for seamless connectivity. ‘Hi BYD’ voice control and intuitive function buttons make driving effortless. Ocean-inspired details include a crystal gear lever and multifunctional seats with heating, ventilation, and memory settings for maximum comfort.

A panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light, while advanced NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) technology ensures a quiet ride. Ambient lighting and a premium sound system create an immersive atmosphere, and a head-up display keeps key information in view. With spacious rear seating and a boot expandable up to 1,440 litres, the SEAL U perfectly balances comfort and practicality, making it ideal for long journeys.

At the core of the all-new SEAL U is BYD’s Super DM Technology, a pioneering advancement in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engineering. Exclusively developed by BYD, this intelligent Dual Mode system enhances energy efficiency, reduces fuel consumption, and optimises both performance and comfort. BYD plug-in hybrids carry the “DM” designation, with the “i” in DM-i highlighting intelligent, energy-efficient driving in the SEAL U.

The BYD SEAL U delivers an outstanding eco-friendly driving experience, combining impressive energy efficiency and fuel economy with quick, responsive acceleration and a smooth, quiet ride. Achieving 6.4 L/100 km fuel consumption, over 70 km of pure electric range, and up to 1,080 km combined range, it also offers exhilarating performance, with AWD acceleration from 0–100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.

SAFETY

ENHANCED SAFETY AS STANDARD

Boasting a Euro NCAP 5-star rating, the SEAL U Super Hybrid puts safety first without compromise. Its Blind Spot Detection system warns of fast-approaching vehicles in your side mirror blind spots. Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), combining Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Control (LCC), manages both longitudinal and lateral control at speeds from 0 to 120 km/h, enhancing comfort and ease on the road. When reversing, rear-mounted millimetre-wave radar continuously monitors surrounding road users, issuing warnings or automatically applying the brakes to help prevent potential collisions.

RECHARGE IN JUST 35 MINUTES

Experience fast and convenient charging with the BYD SEAL U Super Hybrid. This plug-in hybrid SUV supports 18 kW DC rapid charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes. With this capability, you can spend less time charging and more time enjoying the road.

SMART ACCESS

The BYD SEAL U offers the convenience of NFC keyless entry and allows you to control the air conditioning remotely via your smartphone, letting you prepare your journey before you even step outside.
